Independence

Editorial decisions — what to cover, how to rank, what to recommend — are made independently from advertising, sponsored placement, and affiliate revenue. No business pays to be included in the directory, and no business can pay to climb a hub-page ranking.

Editorial guides are written by humans, not generated end-to-end by AI. We may use AI for research, outlining, and copy-editing, but every published guide is reviewed and fact-checked before it goes live. Live-data pages (weather, biolum, ferry) are generated by our software from the raw data feeds listed above.

Reviews

We don’t publish traveler reviews ourselves. Star ratings and review counts shown on business cards are retrieved from Google Maps and marked as such. We never aggregate reviews into a composite rating of our own, and we do not include Google ratings in structured-data `AggregateRating` markup.
